The Research Officer is responsible for the gathering, organizing, analyzing, and distributing data and information relevant to northern Alberta?s social, economic and demographic makeup. The research conducted by this position involves using and adapting appropriate methodology, analyzing data and statistics, managing databases and leading projects.
In keeping with the business plan, the activities of this position assist staff, northern stakeholders and other organizations and individuals in the planning and decision making processes that affect development in the north. The research undertaken by this position also supports NADC initiatives such as the Labour Education Applied Research North (LEARN), NADC bursary programs and communications, and organizes events such as seminars, workshops and focus groups.
