Packaging is a critical function within Unilever and we partner with the world’s leading packaging suppliers. Our Unilever vision cannot be achieved without packaging innovation and technology that will drive growth while halving our environmental impact. We employ more than 800 people across our Category packaging teams and central Packaging Capability organisation. Our Packaging Capability organisation is charged with defining how we do Packaging in Unilever.
The Data Modelling Analyst is a member of the Packaging Excellence Team (within Packaging Capability) and reports to the Simulation and Modelling Capability Manager. The purpose of the Data Modelling Analyst is to draw upon the practice of data analysis, using predictive analytics, data mining, pattern recognition, data modelling, machine learning and various statistical methods in order to develop modelling strategies, create capability for large scale optimization and to maximise the learning behind vast data sets.
The technical scope of work for the Data Modelling Analyst is end to end. This incorporates areas in packaging from raw materials and manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, end-user functionality and disposal. As this is a cross category role there will be exposure within all 12 of Unilever’s product categories and there is the potential, based on the candidates’ success in the role, for exposure at a senior level.
