Business Description

The American School in Abu Dhabi (AD) was founded in 1966, making it one of the oldest schools in the country. AD is a not-for-profit, private institution that admits children from all over the world, and is overseen by a Board of Trustees and an Advisory Committee appointed by the United States Department of State.

Next year, AD will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. To commemorate this major milestone, they're doing a fundraising campaign to build a new school building on their existing campus. There are many reasons why this expansion is necessary: first and foremost, their current building is overcrowded and cannot accommodate more students. This is true for both the main building, where classrooms are small and lab space limited. The athletic facilities are also not sufficient for our growing student body; we have fewer than 20 tennis courts for over 1700 students, only two regulation soccer fields for hundreds of kids to play on at once, and no gyms or indoor track facilities (this is true for all buildings).
