Business Description

Albert Albie Aldahawi (born January 29, 1993), better known as Albie, is an Assyrian-Australian entrepreneur, professional wrestler,[9][15] social media influencer, and model. He is the Director of AlbieShop and CateringHQ.[1][8]
Early life and education
Albie was born to Sheren Albarwari and Aliakim Aldahawi in Amman, Jordan. When he was six years old, a war against Christians in Jordan began, due to which the family had to leave the country. They first traveled to Malaysia and then got on two small fishing boats with 60 other people.[11] During their journey, they were lost in the sea for seven days because their motor broke down. One boat sank, and the survivors were captured and put into jail. After reaching Australia, Albie and his family were locked up for one year in Christmas Island jail, where his younger brother was born.[1][3]
As a child, Albie would watch wrestling with his father on TV. After being released from jail, he began wrestling with his younger brother in the backyard and would upload the videos on YouTube. His YouTube videos reached 20 million views, after which the Australian Wrestling Federation contacted him for training.[1][[2]
In 2010, Albie graduated from high school, and in 2014, he achieved a bachelor's degree in Health and Movement from the Australian College of Physical Education ACPE.
Career
In January 2016, he introduced the first season of his perfume line and released his signature fragrance ALBIE: Tabac Al Oud through City Perfume and his online shop, AlbieShop, where he currently works as Managing Director.[10]
In March 2017, Albie became the Associate Director at CateringHQ. He owns and operates CateringHQ with his business partner. The company has seven venues across Australia and is in the process of further growth.[10]
Albie has modeled for many fashion and fitness brands, including Levi’s, Stussy, and Nike.[1] He is currently a model at Roseys Talent Consultants.[2] He is also a famous social media influencer with over 200,000 followers on Instagram and 23 million hits on his YouTube channel. He is considered one of the top social media influencers in Australia.[6][9]
In June 2019, Albie was featured on SBS Season 2 of Where Are You Really From?. In the show, he talked about his journey as a refugee from Jordan, the difficulties he faced during his travel to settling in Australia, and becoming a professional wrestler.[11[12][13]
Wrestling
On January 14, 2017, Albie had his debut match with the Australian Wrestling Federation (AWF) against Djaysonic at the PCYC, Penrith.[4]
In July 2018, Albie and tag team partner Blakestone had a match against Luke Knight and Mr. Exclusive.[5]
Albie won his first Tag Team Championship of the Australian Wrestling Federation with his tag team partner, Jason.[1] He currently holds the AWF Tag-Team Champion title.[6]
Future projects
Albie intends to grow his catering business, CateringHQ, and take more venues throughout Australia. He plans to release a second line of his Fragrance. He also aims to hold more wrestling and charity events within the local community.
Social contributions
Throughout his journey from arriving in Sydney to becoming successful, he received a lot of support from the Assyrian community, so he decided to give back to them.[6] On October 28, 2018, he organized a wrestling show in Edensor Park, Australia, to raise money for St. Hurmizd's Cathedral and St. Hurmizd Assyrian Primary School.[3] In the same year, Albie raised $7000 for a church and for buying sports equipment to encourage the local community to become more active.[8]
On December 21, 2019, he held a meet and greet at Stockland Wetherill Park, where he gave a wrestling gift bag with toys to the first 200 people who arrived.[8]
Personal life
Aldahawi married Marfin Aldahawi on February 4, 2017.[7] Their first son, Aiden Aldahawi, was born on June 26, 2020.
