10 Epic Rides and Slides at Yas WaterWorld

The minute you set foot in Yas WaterWorld, you can feel the excitement in the air. Between the laughs, squeals and joyful (albeit sometimes fearful) screams, you’ll find some of the most exhilarating rides and attractions in the world.

Before delving into the specifics, remember that for your little ones’ safety, each ride has a height restriction. So, be sure to check those requirements before you let them jump in line.

1. Falcons Falaj

Falcons Falaj, dubbed the longest water coaster in the Middle East, is an ultimate thrill that is not for the faint-hearted.

Stretching over a whopping 300 meters, it has a long climb followed by a rapid descent that’s absolutely worth the wait. Twists, turns and drops are a Falcons Falaj speciality, so hold on tight to your raft and brace yourself for some high-speed action.

2. Liwa Loop

Another title holder in Yas WaterWorld is Liwa Loop, the only looping waterslide in the Middle East.

This 550-meter trap-door freefall slide starts with you stepping into a capsule; then off you go on a vertical drop before zooming your way through a series of loops and, finally, a splash landing.

3. Jebel Drop

It’s been said that the Jebel Drop is for adrenaline junkies what a candy store is to five-year-olds.

So, if you’re brave enough, head over there and test your limits on the steepest waterslide in the park.

4. Bandit Bomber

A cross between a traditional roller coaster and a water-based attraction, the Bandit Bomber is an interactive ride that takes visitors up and down multiple drops, curves, bunny hills and turns.

What’s more, with a laser gun attached to your car, you can double the fun and shoot targets that trigger ground effects like water jets and cannons.

5. Dawwama

Dawwama (meaning “whirlpool” in Arabic) is the world’s biggest six-person tornado water coaster.

The raft ride starts with you dropping from the height of a mountaintop, then onward to the longest six-person slide before you zoom into a 20-meter-high funnel. It’s an unforgettable experience to share with your best pals and family.

6. Slither’s Slides

The world’s first “rattler” and serpent-themed water slides, Slither’s Slides is sure to add some excitement to your day at Yas WaterWorld. These adrenaline-pumping slides feature unique themes and a jaw-dropping descent into an expansive splash pool.

Inside, you’ll find audio-visual components, projection screens, LEDs, sound and lots of action. You can choose one of five themes per flume (or slide) for a total of 30 different experiences. You can also pick a single or double tube, adding to the sense of adventure.

7. Hamlool’s Humps

Plummet from a 10-story height on Hamlool’s Humps!

With this speed slide featuring two massive humps, you’ll feel as if you’re soaring through the air on your way to the bottom. You may take time getting up there, but the quick flight down is well worth it.

8. Rush Rider

Bodyboarding beginners, this one’s for you.

Hop on your board and carve some waves on Rush Rider — an endless sheet wave that gives you that Southern California-style surfing vibe. Get into the rhythm and learn some new skills with this fun, low-intensity surfing experience.

9. SEBAG

Gather your friends and family because this is a ride where you can finally put those bragging rights to the test. SEBAG, a six-lane mat racer slide, allows you to go head-to-head with your loved ones and see who’s the fastest of them all.

Will it be gravity, willpower, technique or a little bit of everything that will lead you to victory? There’s only one way to find out: jump on and keep your eye on that stopwatch.

10. Cinesplash

Cinesplash combines the magic of film with tech-infused water effects to take you and your family on an unforgettable adventure. It’s an immersive 5D cinema experience where you’ll join Dana and her friends on their journey to discover the “Legend of the Lost Pearl”.

But a simple screening this is not. Brace yourself for knee-high floods, waterfalls, moving seats and explosions. Cinesplash will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
